Integrations

Plan where you already work.

Start a room from your team chat or your Google Meet call, bring your backlog in from Jira, Trello, Linear or Asana, and put the table on the meeting-room screen. Every integration is free.

From your chat, in three steps

Slack, Discord and Telegram pass along only your user ID and display name; Google Meet passes along nothing.

  1. 01

    Open it in your chat

Type /storyvote in Slack, start the Activity in a Discord voice channel, open @storyvoteappbot in Telegram, or start it from Activities in Google Meet.

  2. 02

    Skip the name prompt

Your chat app tells Storyvote your name, so you are at the table in one tap. In Google Meet you type it once.

  3. 03

    Vote and reveal

The same hidden votes, countdown and results as in the browser, with teammates who joined from a link.

Questions

Do integrations cost anything?

No. Every integration is free, like the rest of Storyvote, with no paid plan and no limits.

What do the chat apps share with Storyvote?

Your user ID in that app and the name you show there, signed so it cannot be faked. No messages, contacts, email addresses or phone numbers. The Google Meet add-on gets nothing at all: you type your name.

How do the Jira, Trello, Linear and Asana connections work without an account?

The host or a facilitator signs in on the tool's own page (Atlassian's, Linear's or Asana's) and lets the room read boards, projects or teams and write estimates to cards, issues or tasks. The connection belongs to the room, not to a Storyvote account: its tokens are kept encrypted and deleted when the room is disconnected or ends. The estimates written to your tool stay there, and the Integrations Policy lists what each integration reads, writes and keeps.

Which columns does the CSV import read?

A header naming a title column (Title, Summary, Name…) and, if you like, a ticket column (Ticket, Issue key…), so a Jira or Jira Server export works as it is. Without a header, the columns are the ticket, then the title.
